BBC BreakfaststarNaga Munchettywas taken aback when a furry guest unexpectedly intervened between her and Charlie Stayt during an ongoing interview.

Naga and Charlie returned to the BBC Breakfast couch on Saturday (August 26) at the Salford studio.

During a segment of the show, they delved into the subject of adopting rescue dogs from foreign nations, such as Ukraine, in light of the ongoing disturbing geopolitical situation with Russia.

In the studio, the co-hosts were accompanied by Vicky Etherington from a dog rescue called Apollo's Angels, along with a charming four-legged fella named Hugo.

While Hugo patiently remained by Vicky's side during the initial moments of the interview, the adorable pointer dog adopted from Cyprus gradually shifted towards Naga.

The presenter couldn't help but shower him with attention and affectionate strokes while Vicky continued speaking.

While making his way across Naga and approaching Charlie, the presenter remarked: "There you go, he's going his own way."

The furry guest went on to settle himself comfortably between the hosts, much to their unexpected amazement.

"This is Hugo, and he thinks he knows this is it,” Naga playfully quipped as the interview concluded.

Glancing downward at him, Naga inquired: "Is that it? He's had enough now."

Subsequently, Charlie chimed in: "I think he's trying to work out which camera is which,” as the hosts indicated which camera to focus on.

Hugo rapidly became a huge hit among BBC Breakfast viewers, as many rushed to X (formerly known as Twitter) to express their excitement.

“Hugo squeezing himself between Naga and Charlie,” a viewer wrote on X along with a smiley face with heart-shaped eyes emoji.

Another person commented: “Aww Hugo wants Naga and Charlie.”

This morning’s cheery BBC Breakfast segment follows another thrilling moment, however less positive, whenNaga was applauded by fans after shutting down a "smug" gueston Friday (August 25).

Naga spoke to Tory MP Andrew Bowie who claimed it had been a "positive day" as Great Britain's energy price cap fell below £2,000 a year for the first time in 18 months.

The interview got off to a rocky start as Andrew attempted to shut down Naga’s claims that he wasn’t answering her first question, prompting in turn the presenter to quickly snap back.
