Author slams Prince Harry’s ‘revoltingly rude’ attitude towards King

Harry and Meghan’s coronation decision discussed by Levin

Angela Levin spoke to TalkTV host Julia Hartley-Brewer about the public’s reaction to Prince Harry attending his King Charles III’s Coronation alone, without his wife Meghan Markle. The Royal biographer was asked whether she felt the right outcome had been decided and she was quick to air her opinion.

On whether she felt it was right for Meghan Markle to stay in the US, Angela said: “Well, it is an outcome.

“I wouldn’t say it was the right outcome. I think everybody is sick and tired of hearing Harry absolutely being revoltingly rude about his father.

“And his brother, and anyone else he could. So it’s not great news but it is news that perhaps King Charles will be more pleased about.

“I think at least it is something. I mean, the fact that it’s Archie’s birthday… I have never known a four-year-old who knows exactly what date his birthday is on.”

Julia agreed he would be able to still celebrate with his son after his “lightning visit” to the UK.

The TalkTV host continued: “We understand there were some negotiations about where they would sit in the Abbey.

“Whether they would have a ceremonial role at all, whether Archie would have some sort of role in the ceremony.

“Would they be able to appear on the balcony? There are some claims it was Kate, the Princess of Wales, who basically said ‘Not a chance, they are not on the balcony’.”

Jumping in to defend the Princess of Wales, the royal biographer said: “No, she wouldn’t.

“She’s a very polite young woman who keeps herself to herself.”

Julia interjected: “It doesn’t mean she doesn’t have an opinion, Angela.”

To which Angela responded: “Well of course she has an opinion, but she wouldn’t try to overrule the King, would she?

“She likes him, she wouldn’t do that, she wouldn’t try to overrule Camilla.

“She wouldn’t sort of lay down the law, she knows her place, she has always known her place.”

Harry will join more than 2,000 guests at Westminster Abbey on May 6.

It will be the first time he has been seen with the Royal Family since his controversial memoir Spare was published.

The event falls on the fourth birthday of Prince Harry and Meghan’s son, Prince Archie, who will remain in the US with her.

The couple issued a statement which said: “The Duke of Sussex will attend the Coronation service at Westminster Abbey on May 6th. The Duchess of Sussex will remain in California with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.”

Neither the couple’s spokeswoman nor Buckingham Palace commented on the decision.
