Ant McPartlin back to work on BGT after nine months off TV

Ant McPartlin is set to come back to work for the first time in nine months as he returns to Britain’s Got Talent.

The 43-year-old presenter was replaced by Holly Willoughby in the jungle as he took time off TV presenting for rehab.

However he is set to join co-star Declan Donnelly during production meetings for BGT, The Sun reports.

The Geordie star has been on an extended break from his TV commitments after a well publicised battle with sobriety.

Ant is planning to reignite his career on Simon Cowell’s talent show after putting his drink and drug troubles behind him.

The news comes just after after Holly Willoughby confirmed that she would not be returning to I’m A Celebrity in 2019.

Speaking for the first time since she returned to the UK, Holly said: “It’s definitely business as usual This was a one off, once in a lifetime adventure.”

Asked if there was room to join as a trio on the show next year, Holly added: “I just don’t think it’s even an option. I’m not even thinking about that. I’ll be at home with everyone else having a glass of wine watching it as everyone else is. That’s what I was most jealous of, here I am standing here when you’re all drinking red wine in front of the fire.”
