Ant and Dec are already 'in sync' and Ant McPartlin shows no sign of 'anxiety' during Britain's Got Talent return

ANT and Dec are already 'in sync' and Ant McPartlin showed no sign of "anxiety" during Britain's Got Talent return.

The 43-year-old missed the live shows of the 2018 series after stepping back from his TV commitments following his drink-drive arrest last March.

Ant made an emotional return to Britain's Got Talent last night and got straight down to business.

Body language expert Judi James told The Mirror: "Ant’s licking of the corner of his mouth signalled he was keen to just get on with the job.

"There were no other signs of impatience or anxiety and overall he seemed to have grown up over the last year.

"His walk had got a little tougher, his torso looked rather more muscular and only the few lines etched on his forehead hinted at the problems he’d been going through."

Ant missed the live shows of the 2018 series after his drink-drive arrest last March, leaving his presenting partner Declan Donnelly to present them alone for the first time in the show's history.

Ant took the rest of the year off to focus on his health and wellbeing but finally returned to our screens last night with Dec, 43, and fans were delighted to see the duo back together in their rightful place.

Taking to Twitter, one wrote: "Aww missed Ant…..glad he’s back @antanddec @BGT."

Meanwhile Britain’s Got Talent has become the most watched programme of 2019 as Ant returned to work with Dec.

It drew in a whopping 9.7 million viewers, beating last Sunday's Line of Duty ratings.

Ant had previously only been seen on TV briefly while he accepted a National Television Award with Dec back in January.

The presenter was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving in March last year and later pleaded guilty to the offence at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court.

This meant Dec was left to host I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! with Holly Willoughby, before Ant resumed work on BGT in January.
