York Races: Can Battaash be beat? Betting Preview, racecard, tips and runners for Friday's Group 1 Nunthorpe
BATTAASH has dominated the sprinting scene this season. Royal Ascot and Glorious Goodwood were water off the back.
And after last year's York breakthrough in the Nunthorpe, can he go back-to-back? Or will the likes of A'Ali or Art Power spoil the party?

The ground looks to be trying its best to get the better of Charlie Hills speedball.
There's no doubt that Battaash goes with a bit of cut in the ground, but the course record may be safe for this year.
That said, Thursday looks pleasant enough and that won't be good news for the Art Power camp at Tim Easterby's.
Just ten miles down the road from the Knavesmire, their King Power sprinter has burst onto the scene this year. His latest Group 3 win in Ireland has earned him a shot at this.
He is undoubtedly the danger to Battaash. On numbers he has 11lbs to find, but is on the up and the handicapper is still guessing.
But is the general 3-1 around enough to entice me in with? In short, no.
With the long odds-on not tempting on Battaash is there anything backable against him?
Que Amoro has course form to her name and Michael Dods knows what you need to win the Nunthorpe. Mecca's Angel and Mabs Cross testify to that.
But she needs it rock hard and may not even line up if the rain really makes an impact.
Locally-trained Moss Gill is another with rock-solid form on the Knavesmire. He also has some good runs against his name with some ease in the ground.
But is he quite good enough to win the Nunthorpe off level weights with Battaash? No, probably not. But he might be the each-way play for those scared of going in on Battaash. Or even betting without the jolly.
A'Ali has kicked on again after his lacklustre start at Newcastle. I expect him to run well for the Crisfords, but he's short enough in the betting.
With no two-year-olds getting lumps of weight from the favourite it really is hard to see something laying up with Battaassh early and threatening him down the York straight.
Betting Advice
- Moss Gill – 33-1 each-way or without the favourite
