WWE icon Triple H has secret HEART OP after 'cardiac event' reveal wrestling chiefs with star to make 'full recovery'

WWE icon Triple H is expected to make a 'full recovery' after undergoing heart surgery.

It has been revealed that the company's Executive Vice President and former world champion, 52, underwent a procedure last week at Yale New Haven Hospital, Connecticut.

A brief statement from WWE read: "Paul Levesque, a.k.a. Triple H, underwent a successful procedure last week at Yale New Haven Hospital following a cardiac event.

"The episode was caused by a genetic heart issue and Paul is expected to make a full recovery."

It is not yet entirely clear what the 'cardiac event' is.

He has not fought in an officially sanctioned match in nearly two years – although he did scrap with Randy Orton on an episode of RAW in January.

Triple H, one of WWE's greatest superstars, is married to Stephanie McMahon, the Chief Brand Officer and daughter of owner Vince McMahon.

The couple have three daughters, Vaughan, Aurora and Murphy.

Triple H has not fought since June 2019 when he lost to Randy Orton at Super Showdown.

He still remains at the forefront of the industry and is currently the Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy & Development for WWE, as well as being the founder and Executive producer of NXT.

When quizzed on his future inside the ring last year, Triple H revealed that he was unofficially retired.

Asked about plans to climb back between the ropes, he told The Bill Simmons Podcast: “Right now, zero. I just feel like there's a moment where you go, 'I'm retired', but you're not.

“I'd rather just not say it and if the right opportunity comes up that everybody believes is right, and I believe I can do it without it falling apart, me or the match, then okay, I would consider it.

“I am not at a point where I would say, 'Absolutely not, under any circumstances, but probably not that far off.'

“The thing for me that's good is I'm so transitioned over and satisfied with the other aspects of my career and my life and everything else, I get as much fun and excitement out of watching others do it and succeed at it.”

However, his daughter Aurora Rose is already training to follow in her father’s footsteps.

Stephanie previously revealed: “My eldest daughter has already started training and I would encourage them to follow their passion and whatever they believe in as long as they work hard at it.

“I believe in a strong work ethic and I believe they can do anything in the world they want to do but they are going to have to believe in themselves and work hard.”
