Wood leaves Aston Villa still searching for a second win of Prem season after his late Burnley equaliser – The Sun

ASTON VILLA are still searching for their second win of the season as Burnley twice came from behind.

Dean Smith’s side took the lead through Anwar El Ghazi just after the half hour mark.

And the hosts looked to have doubled their advantage just moments later.

John McGinn arrived at the back post to knock in a cross and raced off in celebration – only for it to be ruled out for offside courtesy of VAR.

Villa went into the break with the advantage but they were pegged back midway through the second period.

Jay Rodriguez was the man to level – but ten minutes later the Clarets were behind again.

McGinn left nothing to doubt this time as he slammed home what he and his team-mates believed would surely have been the winner.

But Wood popped up almost instantly to break their hearts.

He rose to nod home to and ensure Burnley left Villa Park with a share of the spoils.
