Wolves ace Willy Boly told to rest over heart palpitations caused by long Covid, reveals Nuno after West Brom draw
WOLVES star Willy Boly has been ordered to rest after being struck by heart palpitations as a result of long Covid.
The defender, 30, initially contracted coronavirus at the start of last month.
While Boly has recovered from the initial infection, the long-term damage has caused problems.
He even missed the Black Country derby draw with West Brom on Monday night.
After the game, Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo admitted Boly is 'not in a good place'.
Nuno said: “He’s not in a good place. He is in a tough moment.
“He had the infection and now he is not able to train.
"His heart rate increases very, very fast [when he trains]. So we have to look.
“His energy is not there, he feels tired, the heart rate increases very fast.
"He's not able to sustain the level of training that we want."

Nuno continued: “He is doing exams, analysis to see if there is another issue – I hope not.
“But it's a study case that everybody has to realise after Covid…
"It's not the first week or the first day but over a longer period of time, you see the effects Covid-19 had on Boly.
“Many other players must be aware of this.”
