Watch Man Utd outcast Andreas Pereira score phenomenal 35-yard free-kick for Flamengo in thumping win over Juventude

ANDREAS PEREIRA shows Manchester United what they're missing with incredible 35-yard free-kick for Brazilian Serie A side Flamengo.

Pereira, 25, is making the most of his loan spell in South America after scoring a stunning 35-yard free-kick for Flamengo in a 3-1 win over Juventude.

The midfielder lined up the strike and belted it over the Juventude keeper, who was left with no chance.

After falling down the packing order at Man Utd, Pereira spent last season on loan at Lazio, making 33 appearances in all competitions for the Italian side.

Pereira returned to Utd in the summer, hopeful that he might get another chance at Old Trafford, only to be shipped off on loan for the fourth time in six seasons.

The Brazilian was an important player for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the 2019-20 season, featuring 40 times in all competitions for the Red Devils.

Pereira appeared in 23 of Utd's first 26 league games, starting 19, but failed to convince his manager of his worth with a disappointing return of just one goal and three assists.

Man Utd went on to sign Bruno Fernandes in January for £55m and the Portuguese's red-hot form meant Pereira struggled to get a look in.

He featured only twice as a late substitute in their remaining 12 Prem games after Bruno's arrival, making it clear that he would have to leave Old Trafford for regular football.

Pereira desperately wanted to make the switch to Lazio permanent at the end of last season, but failed to convince the club that he was worth shelling out for.

Man Utd reportedly wanted £21m for the Brazilian, which Lazio were not willing to pay, turning their attentions instead to West Ham's Felipe Anderson, who they signed in a £3m deal.

Pereira's contract at Old Trafford expires in June 2023 and it remains to be seen whether he will play for the Red Devils again, with his loan in Brazil set to expire at the end of the season.

With his ambition to make the Brazil squad for the World Cup next year, Pereira will need to play regular football going into next season, leaving a permanent exit from Old Trafford likely.

And with three goals in his eight league appearances for Flamengo so far this season, including this magnificent free-kick, he could well be on his way to entering Tite's plans.
