Warriors’ Klay Thompson breaks out of slump, tells his hand: ‘I missed you’

If any player in the NBA were going to talk to his own hand, it would likely be Klay Thompson, a man known for his eccentricities.

Thompson broke out of a scoring slump Saturday night with 32 points to lead the Golden State Warriors to a 115-105 win over the Portland Trail Blazers. Late in his best shooting game in a month, Thompson hit a 3-pointer, forcing a Portland timeout. As he walked to the bench, Thompson looked at his right hand and said, "I missed you."

The four-time All-Star finished 12-of-21 shooting overall and 4-of-5 from 3-point range. In the six games prior to Saturday, Thompson averaged 12.3 points on 34.1 percent shooting overall and 19.3 percent from long range.
