US Women’s soccer star Alex Morgan announces she is three months pregnant – just three months after World Cup win – The Sun

IT'S fair to say 2019 was already a stunning year for Alex Morgan and the US Women's star has now announced her pregnancy.
Morgan, 30, is three months pregnant with a baby girl – just three months after winning the 2019 World Cup.
The striker and LA Galaxy player husband Servando Carrasco, 31, confirmed the news on Instagram.
They wrote: "We are already in love and we haven’t even met her yet. Newest member of the Carrasco family, coming soon."
Earlier in the week, Morgan was named among the 16 nominees for the 2019 Ballon d'Or.
In nine years with the USWNT, she has earned 169 caps and scored 107 times while featuring for teams such as Portland Thorns, Orlando Pride and Lyon.
Morgan and Carrasco met while playing for University of California's Golden Bears team and married on New Year's Even in 2014.
Well wishers have been quick to realise the tot could well have been conceived on the July 7 night of the States' World Cup triumph over the Netherlands.
And Morgan told People Magazine: “We are so overjoyed to grow our family. She’s the best World Cup gift I could have asked for.”
Fans are also wondering whether the player will be ready for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
A due date around April or May could give as little as eight weeks for the new mother to prepare for the tournament, if she decides to do so.
There are a growing number of examples of women returning to the elite level after giving birth.
Christine Pearce featured for the US team just 112 days after giving birth in 2006 and went on to win a World Cup at the age of 40.
