Ugly scenes as furious post-fight MMA brawl sparked inside cage

Vladislav Yankovskiy was fighting Boris Byk in a middleweight bout on an MMA show in Eastern Europe.


Yankovskiy had won the fight by first-round submission after Byk tapped out from an armbar.

After the fight Yankovskiy had his hand raised and Byk looked to go over and congratulate the winner.

The pair were seen smiling, however, they were trading words about something.

It is not understood what the two were discussing, however, Byk was eager to not let the matter drop as he followed Yankovskiy around the cage.

Both fighters then began tapping each other on the shoulders and chest as they continued to bicker.

The two came together and Byk grabbed his opponent before Yankovskiy shoved his countrymen.




Byk attempted to throw out a punch but he was surrounded by officials why while Yankovskiy fought off a cornerman to go after his opponent.

A brawl then ensured as Yankovskiy chased after Byk who had retreated the the cage fence.

Officials and members of both fighters teams rushed into the cage as Byk and Yankovskiy tried to keep the fight going.

Both fighters were eventually broken up and assured out of the cage.

The brawl comes five months after UFC stars Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov were involved in a post-fight melee.

Nurmagomedov had just beaten McGregor at UFC 229 before he hoped over the octagon and went after the Irishman’s entourage.



Meanwhile in the octagon, McGregor traded punched with Nurmagomedov’s team before himself being attacked from behind.

The altercation landed McGregor a six month suspension and £38,000 fine – while Nurmagomedov was banned for nine months with a £380,000 penalty.
