Jordan Henderson says his farewells ahead of £700,000-a-week move to Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq

Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has said his farewells ahead of travelling to join up with Steven Gerrard‘s Al-Ettifaq. 

Henderson underwent a medical in Manchester on Friday, and will end his 12-year association with the Reds to make the controversial move to the Saudi Pro League. 

Unlike Saudi Arabia’s top four clubs, Al-Ettifaq do not have financial backing from the Public Investment Fund, and so the £12m deal will be through a structured timeline of payment, which Liverpool have improved.

Mbappe’s post had followed reports in Spain that the PSG star has no intention of moving to Saudi Arabia, despite claims he could earn an eye watering £600m in just one year.

Relevo reported Mbappe is determined to see out the final year of his contract with the reigning French champions.

Mbappe is reportedly ‘willing to sit on the bench all season’ as he runs down his deal’, with PSG believing he has already agreed to join the Real Madrid in 2024.

Kylian Mbappe responded to a tweet from NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo with laughing emojis following Al-Hilal’s a world record £259million offer to PSG.

Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal launched their extraordinary bid on Monday as PSG seek to sell Mbappe, after he refused to sign a new deal with one year left on his contract.

Milwaukee Bucks superstar Antetokounmpo took to social media to joke about the bid, amid Mbappe’s reported reluctance to move to Saudi Arabia.

‘Al Hilal you can take me. I look like Kylian Mbappe,’ Antetokounmpo jokingly tweeted, prompting Mbappe’s response.
