Tottenham next manager odds: Enrique, Tuchel and De Zerbi in contention if Conte is sacked, Pochettino favourite | The Sun

THE Tottenham next manager market is hotting up with Antonio Conte's position looking increasingly perilous.

And there's no shortage of high-profile candidates waiting in the wings with Mauricio Pochettino, Zinedine Zidane and Luis Enrique in contention, according to Ladbrokes.

Pochettino is the frontrunner at 11/8.

The Argentine was sacked in 2019 having guided Spurs to both the Champions League and League Cup finals during his five-year tenure.

Pochettino has been out of work since his ill-fated spell at Paris Saint-Germain came to an end in the summer on 2022.

Luis Enrique is offered at 5/1 having left his role as Spain manager after the World Cup. He's locked together with Ryan Mason, who could reprise his role as caretaker manager for the final ten matches.

There's been money for Paulo Fonseca, who's flown into contention at odds of 8/1 with some reports claiming that managing director Fabio Paratici 'prefers' Fonseca to Pochettino.

Thomas Tuchel is also available at 8/1, ahead of Zinedine Zidane (10/1), Marco Silva (10/1) Brendan Rodgers (12/1) and Brighton's Roberto De Zerbi (14/1).

Conte, 53, is out of contract at the end of the season with the club already eliminated from all cup competitions.

But it's unclear whether the Italian will be allowed to see out the remainder of the campaign after his explosive post-match interview on Saturday.

Conte branded his players 'selfish' after they blew a two-goal lead against rock-bottom Southampton, and continued to criticise the club's hierarchy and culture.

He said: "I see selfish players, I see players that don't want to help each other and don't put their heart.

"Tottenham's story is this – 20 years there is this owner and they never won something. Why?

"The fault is only for the club, or for every manager that stay here? I have seen the managers that Tottenham had on the bench. You risk to disrupt the figure of the manager and to protect the other situation in every moment.

"Until now I try to hide the situation but not now because, I repeat, I don't want to see what I have seen today because this is unacceptable and also unacceptable for the fans."
