The best-paid Premier League managers revealed with Bielsa moving up to fourth and still above Man Utd boss Solskjaer

MARCELO BIELSA is on the verge of signing a new £8million-a-year contract – which still makes him better paid than Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Leeds boss, 65, was initially handed a bumper new contract after ending 16 years of hurt by guiding the Elland Road side back to the Premier League in 2020.

He then led them to a ninth-placed finish in the top-flight last term.

Bielsa is set to be rewarded for his incredible efforts again with another whopping contract – although he still has not officially signed it.

But fear not Leeds supporters, despite not putting pen to paper, he has already been back at the club’s training base taking charge of coaching.

Bielsa’s £8m-a-year pay-cheque – up from his initial £6m per annum – saw him overtake a host of top bosses, including Manchester United chief Solskjaer.

And with Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti’s departures from the Premier League, the Argentine has now moved up the ranks and will be the fourth best-paid boss in England.

Manchester City chief Pep Guardiola leads the way on £20m per year.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp signed a new contract in December 2019 that was worth £15m per year.

And Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers (£10m) is the only other manager earning more than Bielsa's believed £8m.
