Terrifying moment Celtic fan plunges from top tier during Borussia Monchengladbach clash

THIS is the horror moment that saw a Celtic fan plunge from the top tier of a stand during his side's clash with Borussia Monchengladbach.

We told how the supporter was knocked unconscious after he fell from an upper section of Borussia Park during the 1-1 Champions League draw earlier this month.

Now shocking footage has emerged of the 24-year-old attempting to climb down to the lower tier to meet his friends.

The fan loses his footing before smashing into a metal railing on the way to the ground.

According to Monchengladbach chiefs the supporter was treated for a collapsed lung and broken rib.

A spokesperson said: "He got over the railing and tried to hold onto a rope, which holds a vertical net between the guest block and the Gladbach fans.

"He lost control and fell about two meters deep into a horizontal protection-net and from there another three meters to the ground. He was briefly unconscious, but quickly responded.
