Stoke's ex-Barcelona ace Bojan can still leave for MLS as US window remains open

The playmaker has been offered the chance to almost double his wages by the MLS side.

And a potential deal remains on the table with the USA transfer window open until May 1.

Ex-Barcelona attacker Bojan is on £27,000-a-week with the Championship Potters – but New England Revolution are willing to give him a £50k weekly salary.

But their boss Brad Friedel, a former Premier League goalkeeper with Blackburn, Aston Villa and Spurs, could face a fight to land the 28-year-old.

New Stoke manager Nathan Jones has made it clear he wants to hold on to the two-time Champions League winner.

He rejected a deadline day attempt from West Brom and shut out other interest in the ace as he targets a late promotion push.

Bojan, who is a firm fan favourite, is also happy to stay and fight for his place back in the side after being frozen out by recently-axed boss Gary Rowett.

That left Stoke nine points off the play-offs, and if they miss out on an instant return to the top-flight then the Spaniard is likely to be one of the first out the door as the cost-cutting kicks in.
