Scholes hails Solskjaer's Man Utd reign and says football since Sir Alex Ferguson left has been 'sh**e'

Manchester United legend Scholes was a big critic of axed boss Jose Mourinho.

Asked yesterday if the club’s football had become ponderous in the last six years, Scholes called it, “sh**e”.

Interim boss Solskjaer has won seven straight, playing the United way.

Scholes said: “It’s great to watch and everybody has got that buzz back again.

“Everyone has a smile on their face. Since Ole has come back, you feel like you’ve got your club back.

“It just feels like you’ve got someone there who knows United. He’s been a player, you look at Ole and he’s a United man.”

Having been a harsh critic of the club, Scholes says he has not been invited back.

He said: “I have not been in the director’s box.

“No, I wouldn’t expect to be invited.”

David Beckham has joined Scholes and the rest of the Class of ’92 as a 10 per cent shareholder in Football League-chasing Salford City FC.

Becks, Neville brothers Gary and Phil, Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs and Scholes now own 60 per cent of the club, with billionaire Singapore businessman Peter Lim holding the other 40.

Beckham said: “I’m really excited. I’ve been waiting for a while for it to happen because, when the lads got involved in Salford, I wanted to be.

“But I spent five years trying to get the team in Miami going — and now that it’s finally on its way, I’m able to get involved with Salford.

“It’s a special group of people so to now be part of this incredible team is exciting.”

Initially, the five former United players bought the club in 2014 when it was in Premier League Division North. They are now third in the National League.
