REAL MADRID 2 ARSENAL 2 (Madrid win 3-2 on penalties)
Who said pre-season had to be dull?
Let's just go with the age olf cliche – that was truly a game of two halves.
In the first, Arsenal were at times superb as they cut through a disorganised and at times ill-disciplined Madrid, going ahead after Nacho had seen red for handling Lacazette's shot on the line.
The Frenchman netted from the spot, before his partner in crime Aubameyang doubled the lead by rounding Navas and thumping into the roof of the net.
But when Sokratis was sent off for two soft bookings just before the break, 10vs10 became a pulsating end-to-end contest.
Gareth Bale was introduced at the break to shock in the stands and looked a man on a mission, halving the deficit before the superb Asensio levelled things up.
