  • MIDWEEK MADNESS

    A bit hot, isn't it?

As the country basks in a mini heatwave, the Premier League season continues to hot up with a host of midweek fixtures tonight.

Get used to this over the next six weeks, with games coming thick and fast between now and the end of the campaign.

We're focusing on three matches here, with each having their own significance at both ends of the table.

Newcastle welcome Aston Villa to the Toon, with Dean Smith's side desperate for three points in their fight against the drop.

Things are becoming even more desperate for the Villans after two defeats since the reason began, while Newcastle were impressive when swatting aside Sheff Utd 3-0 on Sunday.

Also at the bottom, Norwich are in a similiar position as they look to perform the Great Escape and secure their Premier League status for next season.

They're currently six points adrift at the bottom of the table and with time running out, a win of Everton today would go a long way to kick-starting their survival bid.

And finally we'll be bringing you news from Molineux, where Bournemouth are also scrapping for their top-flight lives.

Wolves can take control of their European destiny with a win of their own, so there's a huge task ahead of Eddie Howe's men this evening.

Got all that? Great – let's get team news and settle in for a packed night of action. Kick-off in each game set for 6pm BST.
