Paul Pogba aims dig at Jose Mourinho as he praises new-look Manchester United

The Manchester United midfielder struck two more goals, taking his Christmas period tally to four, as Bournemouth were swept aside at Old Trafford.

Pogba looks a different player to the one benched before the Special One’s axe earlier this month.

Asked what is new under interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Pog said: "It’s different.

"We still won some games with the old manager it’s just a different style of play.

"We are more offensive, we create more chances, play higher.

"We want to attack. The manager wants to attack. That’s what we’re doing."

Solskjaer has three wins out of three since arriving less than two weeks ago.

The whole mood around Old Trafford has been lifted and Pogba, 25, added: "Maybe we’ve just realised we’re Manchester United and we need to be at the top of the league.

"You see the reaction of the players. Everyone is enjoying themselves and that’s what we need.

"We need to enjoy playing, work for each other and that gets the results."

Solskjaer praised Pogba, who also set up the fourth for sub Romelu Lukaku.

But he urged the French World Cup-winner to keep it simple, saying: "It was a top, top performance. Work rate, headers, tackles, no showboating."

Asked if he instructed Pogba to cut out the show-boating, Ole said: "No. I’ve said to all the players we want their best within ow we want the team to play."
