Neymar swaps ‘spaghetti hair’ for fake dreadlocks as he reveals his latest hairstyle

The most-expensive player in the world has ditched his hairstyle that was labelled 'spaghetti hair' during the World Cup and swapped it for a fade, with blonde dreadlocks.

The Brazilian forward has gone for a new look for the new year, after ditching his previous hairstyle that saw him dye strands of his hair blonde.

Neymar shared a picture on his Instagram of his new hairstyle, which was styled in an up-do with the dreadlocks on the top of his head, enabling him to show off the fade design too.

The 26-year-old is known in equal measure for his fancy footwork and outlandish fashion sense.

His new hairstyle came as little surprise to his fans, but many took to Twitter to comment on the new locks.

One fan joked on social media that it would inevitably get messed up with his rolling around on the grass.

While another joked he was debuting his new hairstyle ahead of dropping his debut rap single.

Several believed Neymar had gone to great lengths to get this style and had got extensions, as his hair hadn't been that long prior to it being styled in dreadlocks.

But many still couldn't get over his previous 'spaghetti' look.

Neymar's new hairstyle comes just before his Christmas break.

After PSG's home game against Nantes tomorrow, the Brazilian ace won't be in action again until January 6.

The Ligue 1 giants are currently ten points clear at the top of the table, having bagged 49 goals so far this season.

Neymar has scored 16 goals in all competitions, from 19 appearances, this season and has also provided eight assists.

When Neymar faces Paul Pogba in the Champions League next year, it will be interesting to see who has the most outlandish hair style, as both are likely to change their hair several times before the meeting.

United face PSG in their first Champions League game under caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Heading to a Premier League stadium could be a more frequent occurrence for the Brazilian, who has previously said that every top player "has to play" in the Premier League one day.

But, Neymar has also teased that he would happily play in Miami in the future, with David Beckham's new team Internacional Miami.
