Miguel Almiron's stunning Wag Alexia kisses him goodbye at airport ahead of Newcastle transfer

The Paraguay playmaker is set to become the club's record signing when his switch from Atlanta United is completed.

Almiron, 24, is flying to Tyneside to undergo a medical and finalise personal terms.

He is expected to cost Rafa Benitez's side around £21million – smashing the previous record of £16m the club paid for Michael Owen in 2005.

No wonder dark haired beauty Alexia is so happy about him embarking on the biggest move of his career.

Although the trained zumba teacher admitted she will miss him in the days until they are reunited again.

Alongside the photo of them kissing, she wrote: "Successes in this new challenge. Good trip my love (counting the days to see you). I love you."

Benitez – who has been touted around clubs in Europe and China while his Newcastle future hangs in the balance – is looking to wrap up Almiron's deal today.

The Toon boss, who saw his side stun Man City 2-1 last night, said: "Hopefully we can finish everything on Wednesday.

"It's not about a record signing,  you have to do the right things to stay up."

Almiron himself has all but confirmed his switch in an emotional Instagram post.

Alongside a host of images during his time at the MLS side, he wrote: "Thanks Atlanta for all the love. I love you so much."
