King George betting preview: Latest runners, riders and odds and trainer quotes for the final field

COULD you get a better Group 1? A star mare, a Prince Of Wales Stakes winner and a Derby winner are all lining up against each other in Saturday's contest.

It's the acid test for Enable and we've got all the vital info right here.

1. Cheval Grand – Yasuo Tomomichi/Oisin Murphy (33-1)

Japanese raider has some very smart form at his best, including a fourth behind star filly Almond Eye and a second behind Old Persian in Dubai back in March.

The booking of Oisin Murphy is a big positive, but he needs to improve around 8-10lb to mix it with the best of these and that could be too tough a task.

2. Crystal Ocean – Sir Michael Stoute/James Doyle (3-1)

Outstanding performer has progressed further this term with three wins on the bounce culminating in a fine victory in the Prince Of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Saw off Magical that day, who was since beaten a similar distance by hot favourite Enable in the Eclipse, and if he runs to that level then he has a massive shout.

3. Defoe – Roger Varian/Andrea Atzeni (14-1)

Five-year-old always threatened to be top class and confirmed his early promise with a fine win in the Coronation Cup at Epsom followed by a slick victory in the Harwicke.

The strength in depth of this race means he's a 14-1 shot, but he shouldn't be discounted and could easily run into the places.

4. Hunting Horn – Aidan O'Brien/Seamie Heffernan (100-1)

Pacemaker for the Coolmore team would be a shock winner even if returning to the form of his Royal Ascot victory last year.

5. Morando – Andrew Balding/PJ McDonald (66-1)

Bolted up in the Ormonde Stakes on bottomless ground and if he ran like that every time he saw the track then he'd have a big chance in this.

Needs the rain to fall in bucketloads, though, and likely to find the pace too hot.

6. Salouen – Sylvester Kirk/Jim Crowley (66-1)

Decent horse on his day but not up to Group 1 level, particularly a contest as strong as this.

Likes the track but needs more to have a say.

7. Waldgeist – Andre Fabre/Pierre-Charles Boudot (16-1)

Very classy performer in France where he's pretty much unbeatable in any race bar the Arc.

Always failed to produce the goods over here, though, and is surely up against it for win purposes once again.

8. Enable – John Gosden/Frankie Dettori (8-13)

The lethal duo of Frankie and Johnny G team up once again with their star mare, who confirmed her superstar status with a fine victory in the Eclipse on return.

She was reported to be only 80 percent fit that day, so with improvement likely, is clearly the one to beat.

9. Magic Wand – Aidan O'Brien/Donnacha O'Brien (66-1)

Former Ribblesdale winner is an interesting outsider if producing her best, though she hasn't done that for some time.

Needs very quick ground and unlikely to get it, though first-time cheekpieces could elicit some progress.

10. Anthony Van Dyck – Aidan O'Brien/Ryan Moore (8-1)

Derby winner is a stout stayer and brings an intriguing element to this contest as the limit of his ability is yet to be discovered over this trip.

Gets handy 3yo allowance and could easily put it up to the big two if coming on again in first-time cheekpieces.

11. Norway – Aidan O'Brien/Wayne Lordan (125-1)

Another outsider for the O'Brien team has far too much to find on the figures and even with an allowance is up against it here.
