Jack Black dishes profane insult to Kawhi Leonard in outrageous new video
Jack Black is not happy with Kawhi Leonard — and he’s not afraid to say so.
The actor, comedian and longtime Los Angeles Lakers fan shared some thoughts on the Los Angeles Clippers star in a video released early Thursday morning.
The clip, first posted to the basketball Twitter account Heart of NBA, features Black insulting Leonard for refusing to sign with the Lakers.
“Wrong team though, dude! Why don’t you come to the Lakers? The 3-headed hydra? You would’ve won a four-peat. Duh!” Black says in the video.
Black ends the video with a profanity laced challenge for the two-time NBA champion.
“I’m changing gears now Kawhi! F*** you, you’re going down!” Black says.
Black’s frustration is somewhat understandable. Leonard, who signed with the Clippers earlier this month, was consistently tied to the Lakers as a potential free agent this summer.
Earlier this week, Leonard told ESPN’s Rachel Nichols he was “very close” to choosing the Lakers but was ultimately swayed by the opportunity to play with former Thunder superstar Paul George.
Black, the star of such films as “School of Rock” and “Kung Fu Panda,” said it was a “dream come true” when LeBron James signed with the Lakers last summer. The comedian was seemingly looking for a third superstar to join James and his new teammate Anthony Davis, who was traded to the Lakers earlier this summer.

Instead, Black had to settle for comparing James and Leonard, making it known which player’s team he believes will emerge victorious.
“Good to be alive during the epic head-to-head battle of Lakers-Clippers. Lebron-Kawhi. The battle will be blood-thirsty,” Black says in the video. “Who will emerge victorious? LeBron will, of course!”
This isn’t the first time Leonard’s name has shown up in a viral celebrity video this summer. Earlier this month, Snoop Dogg released his own clip explaining to Kawhi why he should join the Lakers.
“Kawhi, Kawhi, tell me that you’ll be a Laker,” Snoop sings in the video. “Kawhi, Kawhi, come back to L.A.”
Considering Leonard’s final decision, that recruiting pitch seemingly failed.
