Back-to-back wins against Tottenham and Manchester City have moved the Red Devils up to fifth in the table – just two points behind Chelsea.

A host of players have been linked with a switch to Old Trafford, with the club believed to be in the market for a defender, midfielder, winger and a striker.

Long-term target Kalidou Koulibaly appears set to be on his way out of Napoli with the Serie A side keen to offload him.

Though they face competition with Spurs, with Jose Mourinho maintaining an interest in the Senegal international.

United have also been linked with swoops for Red Bull Salzburg striker Erling Braut Haaland as well as Atletico Madrid ace Saul Niguez.

And Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho could also be drafted in after reports claimed the Bundesliga outfit are ready to sell the England international in January.

As Solskjaer looks to build on his side's momentum, he could be backed in the transfer market to continue his overhaul of the squad.

David De Gea will retain his place between the sticks, with a back four to potentially consist of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Koulibaly, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw.

Scott McTominay could partner Saul in the middle of the pitch, with World Cup winner Paul Pogba to be deployed in an advanced role.
