Horse racing tips: Templegate all over his NAP at Wolverhampton who can strike for in-form trainer Tom Ward

TEMPLEGATE is the tipster to follow if it's winners you want and will be hoping to boost that betting bank before Royal Ascot.

Read on to find our man's top tips for the action on Tuesday.

THE WATERMAN (4.05 Wolverhampton, NAP)

Can make a big splash despite the wide draw.

Tom Ward’s horse took a hefty step forwards on his comeback run and looked ahead of the handicapper. The gelding operation has clearly done the trick.

HAYMAKER (4.55 Wetherby, NB)

Has bumped into two smart sorts so far and this is easier on paper. He should take all the beating and could improve again.

SEPTEMBER POWER (7.35 Wetherby, treble)

Can land the knockout blow for Roger Varian. Powerful connections have stuck with this horse for another year and they’ve found a good opening here.

WOLVERHAMPTON

1.45 Lets Go Lucky – consistent at this moderate level and course and distance winner looks standout

2.20 Fact Or Fable – not won in a while but drawn perfectly here and often saves best for this track

2.55 Doves Cry – market support key on debut and trainer has impressive strike rate with juveniles

3.30 Rita The Cheetah – lightly-raced and won’t need to find much improvement to win this

4.05 The Waterman (NAP) – improved plenty on comeback and looks well-treated if coming on for that at all

4.40 Ladywood – best on all weather and small field will suit

5.10 Live Your Dream – bumped into well-treated rival last time and can progress again up in trip and on all weather

5.40 Van Dijk – consistent at this level and handicapper continues to give chance

SOUTHWELL

1.25 Mahlermade – big drop in class and first go after a wind-op

2.00 Tardree – bolted up last time on chase debut and has more to offer

2.35 Valupo – new recruit for top yard who showed enough in Ireland to suggest up to this

3.10 Calvinist – back on last winning mark and ran well enough on recent comeback

3.45 Present Storm – this much easier than recent maidens and handicapper been kind enough

4.20 Timberman – looks to have found a good opening by connections that keep firing in the winners

4.50 Begin The Luck – can excuse defeat last time and back over course and distance that suits best

AYR

5.15 Tribal Art – yard can ready one off a break and this is a weak enough race

5.45 Avebury – can forgive last run and lightly-raced type worth a chance in handicaps

6.15 Ayr Poet – consistent sort and still not handicapped out of things

6.45 Pavers Pride – has won here in the past and will enjoy going back on better ground

7.15 Tommy G – little suggests can’t complete quickfire hat-trick under penalty

7.45 Trevie Fountain – in form of life and has found another good opening

8.15 Justified – may get an easy time out front and could make all

WETHERBY

4.55 Haymaker (NB) – has run into two smart types and this looks easier

5.30 Tommaso – very green on debut and should improve plenty for it

6.00 My Boy Charles – went close on stable debut and up to a race at this level

6.30 Gulf Of Poets – won last time out and still very well-handicapped on old form

7.00 Walkonby – jockey booking catches the eye and this won’t take much winning

7.35 September Power – up in trip again and won’t need much improvement to take this

8.05 Yagood – beaten favourite last time but worth another go over new trip

SALISBURY

1.00 Berkshire Phoenix – should win a race like this soon if learning to break from stalls better

1.35 Fille D’Or – got act together end of last season and might be on generous enough mark for yard going much better this campaign

2.10 Walls Of Kano – won a better race last time out and should be able to see these off despite the penalty

2.45 Poet’s Eye – interesting on handicap debut and dropped back in distance

3.20 Mirage Mac – not worth giving up on just yet and jockey has good record for the yard

3.55 Modestus – showed plenty on debut and shaped like he’d come on plenty for that outing

4.30 Lumination – looks well-treated on novice efforts and connections have persevered with
