From giraffes to traffic cones.. darts fans kick off World Champs in style

A rowdy of group of chickens were even spotted enjoying a cold pint before the action kicked-off in London last night.

It is tradition for the crowd to wear their most bizarre and bold fancy dress costumes for the annual sports extravaganza.

And their incredible outfits this year even managed to distract attention away from the absence of walk-on girls.

One group that were hard to miss were the lively lads that arrived disguised as humongous road cones.

But their title of best dressed was under threat by the herd of ginormous giraffes.

The inflatable yellow costumes made them around 10 foot tall – which is hilarious until you have to sit behind them.

A group of fans braved the cold conditions in Mexican outfits, including a brightly coloured poncho and a huge sombrero.

Some supporters would have guzzled a pint or two, so they'd have been excited to see Colonel Sanders stroll in with a mob of chickens.

The group dressed in bright yellow onesies while the wannabe KFC chief donned his all-white suit.

If the chickens weren't enough to get some taste buds tingling, then the mob of lobster certainly would have.

Others opted to get into the festive spirit with some stylish Christmas pattern suits – complete with a tie.

Fans were also spotted wearing American Football costumes and foam fingers were waved in the air throughout.

All of them witnessed defending champion Rob Cross make a perfect start with a 3-1 win over Jeffrey De Zwaan.
