Ederson reckons Aymeric Laporte’s injury is costing Man City in the title race – The Sun

EDERSON admits Man City have been suffering since Aymeric Laporte’s knee KO is costing Manchester City in the title race.
Pep Guardiola’s makeshift defence was exposed as Wolves produced a shock 2-0 win at the Etihad on Sunday to leave the defending champions eight points behind Liverpool.
And City keeper Ederson claims the absence of key centre-back Laporte and fellow defender John Stones with a thigh injury has hit them hard, with replacement Nicolas Otamendi struggling.
Ederson said: “It’s very difficult for a team like us having injuries, especially if they all happen in the same position on the pitch.
"We all know about the amazing quality of Aymeric and how good he is in the build-up phase. Of course we are missing him.
“We have other great players who can replace him in that position.
“Unfortunately, with the injury to John Stones, we have only one natural centre-back.
