We are all building up to the busy Festive period where we are planning to run between 130 and 140 horses for Christmas from St Stephen’s Day to the New Year.

Apple’s Jade, Delta Work, Mengli Khan and Samcro are the obvious ones at Leopardstown.

But we have a lot of other young horses that we are looking forward to as well. The ground is going to be a big factor and we need to see what way it’s going to go in the next few days.

Everyone says it’s going to be OK and it’s going to come.  It’s frightening to think that it could turn up on the quicker side at Leopardstown. We just need a bit of rain to open up the ground.

But today we're concentrating on Thurles where we run five across the card.
