Cristiano Ronaldo 'helping Juventus with transfers this summer' as he and family fly out for Greece holiday

CRISTIANO RONALDO is said to be helping Juventus with their transfers this summer – as he and his family fly home from a well-earned holiday in Greece.

The Portuguese star, 34, is taking on something of an unofficial sporting director role, as he puts in calls regarding the signing of new players, claim CalcioMercato.

Ronaldo is thought to be chasing old team-mates Marcelo and James Rodriguez regarding a move to Juve this summer.

Meanwhile, he was also seen chatting with sought-after Ajax sensation Matthijs De Ligt at the Nations League final.

Portugal captain Ronaldo was seen having a word with the £60million-rated young Holland centre-back following his side's 1-0 win.

A grinning Ron then ruffled De Ligt's hair and walked off to celebrate with his team-mates.

SARRI LINK

De Ligt, 19, is yet to decide on his next club with the likes of United, Liverpool, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain desperate for his signature.

Such is the lure of Ronaldo, Juventus are thought to be turning to him to convince a host of star names to join him in Italy.

But his duties at Juve had briefly been put on hold, as he and his family enjoyed a sun-soaked trip to Greece.

Ronaldo – along with partner Georgina Rodriguez and his four children – were seen leaving Greece after a week at The Westin Resort in Costa Navarino.

And CR7 will return to a new manager, with Maurizio Sarri leaving Chelsea to join Juventus in a £7million compensation deal.

The 60-year-old signed a two-year contract with the Serie A giants after the two clubs agreed a compensation package to free him from Stamford Bridge.

While Ronaldo may be helping out with transfers, the Italian boss has his own targets in mind – raiding the Blues for personal favourites Jorginho and Emerson.
