Cristiano Ronaldo fought with 'insane' Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid after he was accused of being lazy, says Di Maria

ANGEL DI MARIA has revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo got into a fight with Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid after the Portuguese coach labelled him lazy.

Mourinho coached Ronaldo at the Bernabeu between 2010 and 2013.

The pair won the LaLiga title and Copa del Rey during their time together, but Di Maria – who was also at Real Madrid during the same period – admits it did boil over between the pair.

Speaking to Libero, the Argentine said: “Mourinho is insane, with me he was always a good guy.

“He fought with anyone though, he didn't give a f***.

"One time he fought with Ronaldo telling him he didn't run, that everyone ran for him.”

Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has previously spoken about how Mourinho brought Ronaldo to the 'verge of tears' during his time at the club.

Di Maria also spoke about Ronaldo joining him for his first birthday as a player in Madrid.

"I invited Cristiano to my first birthday in Madrid thinking that he was not going to come," he added.

"He came and drank beer with my friends as if nothing had happened."

Di Maria, who has been at Paris Saint-Germain since 2015, was recently joined at the club by Argentina teammate Lionel Messi.

And the ex-Real Madrid and Manchester United man could not be happier to welcome his compatriot to the French giants.

He said: "I was missing the icing on the cake, playing with Leo in a club.

"I had the chance to go to Barcelona to play with him. Today we are the first two to come to training every day.

"I was a few seconds earlier, haha."

PSG have won all four of their Ligue 1 matches so far as they look to reclaim the title that was won by Lille last season.
