Cristiano Ronaldo bamboozles Inter midfielders as Juventus superstar rolls back the years with outrageous piece of skill – The Sun
CRISTIANO RONALDO rolled back the years in the 1-1 draw with Inter Milan – bamboozling rival defenders with an outrageous piece of skill.
The Juventus star showed off his dribbling and passing mastery – and scored a free-kick goal to cap off the brilliant performance.
Over the years, Ronaldo, 34, has morphed from a pacy, lethal winger to a goal-scoring machine often playing as a centre-forward.
But the Portuguese ace showed glimpses of his old self, emptying his bag of tricks against Inter in Ninjang earlier today.
He first lost his markers Marcelo Brozovic and Roberto Gagliardini with an outrageous back-heel flick.
And Ronaldo then added to the Croatia international's misery with an embarrassing no-look pass.
As it was not enough for poor Inter midfielders, the Juventus star also drew things level by netting from a dead ball.
He cancelled out Matthijs de Ligt's first-half own goal, with the former Ajax skipper off to a rocky start at Juve.
Ronaldo's effort inspired the Serie A champs to a stunning comeback victory, beating Inter after a penalty shoot-out.
The Portuguese is having a fabulous week as he has just been cleared of rape charges over an alleged sexual assault incident in Las Vegas in 2009.
Lawyers announced two days ago they would "decline to prosecute" 10-year-old claims of alleged victim Kathryn Mayorga.
They argued that the allegations "cannot be proven beyond a reasonable doubt".
