College basketball season is over for nearly every Colorado hoops team – The Denver Post

It was a rough weekend for Colorado college basketball teams.
Nearly every squad from the Centennial State was eliminated from postseason contention with the exception of the Northern Colorado Bears, who upset Florida Atlantic, 74-71, to advance to the second round of the College Basketball Invitational.
Here’s a look at how Colorado teams fared this past weekend:
Colorado State men: The Rams entered the first round of the NCAA Tournament as underdogs, according to oddsmakers, despite being a higher seed (No. 6) than their opponents, No. 11 Michigan. CSU lost, 75-63, on Thursday.
Colorado women: The CU Buffs made their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament since the 2012-13 season. Despite Jaylyn Sherrod scoring a career-high 27 points, No. 7 Colorado lost, 84-74, to No. 10 Creighton in the first round. The Blue Jays shocked No. 2 seed Iowa in the next round.
Colorado men: St. Bonaventure upset the No. 4-seeded Buffaloes last Tuesday in a 76-68 win at the CU Events Center in the first round of the NIT. Keeshawn Barthelemy led the Buffs with 15 points.
Air Force women: Haley Jones recorded a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds, but the Falcons lost on the road, 61-45, to host UCLA in the second round of the NIT on Sunday. Air Force knocked off San Francisco, 64-60, on Thursday in the opening round of the tournament.
