Chelsea youth star Kasey Palmer a £4m target for Premier League new boys Norwich – The Sun

CHELSEA youngster Kasey Palmer is a target for Premier League new boys Norwich, according to reports.

The Canaries won the Championship last season but are desperate to extend their stay in the top flight.

And that is why, according to Football Insider, they are eyeing a £4million move for Palmer.

The midfielder, 22, is wanted by a number of clubs, including Bristol City.

He spent the second half of last season on loan at Ashton Gate and impressed the Robins with some strong performances.

So much so that Lee Johnson was keen to make the move permanent.

Now Norwich boss Daniel Farke is keen to swoop for Palmer.

The London-born player featured in both of Chelsea's pre-season matches in Ireland last week and caught the eye for many fans.

But there is a concern among many that he will never fulfil the big potential he showed when coming through the ranks at Cobham.

After all, at 22, he has still not made a Premier League appearance for his parent club, who he joined in 2013.

He has been shipped out on loan five times, twice to Huddersfield, and will surely be hoping Frank Lampard takes a gamble on him by including the midfielder in his first-team plans this season.

Norwich have until August 8 to complete their transfer business before kicking off the new season away at Liverpool.

They have already brought in Daniel Adshead, Sam Byram, Josip Drmic, Aidan Fitzpatrick, Ralf Hahrmann and Arsenal youngster Charlie Gilmour this summer.
