Chelsea 'set to sell flop Timo Werner' in shock transfer after just ONE season as Blues raise funds for Haaland or Kane
CHELSEA are looking to sell striker Timo Werner after just ONE season at Stamford Bridge, according to reports.
The European champions have been linked with a few strikers this summer after Werner failed to deliver in his debut Premier League season.
According to Sky in Germany, Chelsea are asking around to see if a top European club would like to sign Werner.
The 25-year-old managed just six goals in 35 Premier League appearances last term after making a reported £47.5million move in July 2020.
Despite his form, Werner remains one of Germany's most revered strikers after hitting 28 Bundesliga goals for RB Leipzig during the 2019-20 season.
Rumours suggest Chelsea will use the forward's previous form to tempt a buyer this summer and raise cash ahead of a move for Erling Haaland.
The Borussia Dortmund striker is believed to be the West London club's No1 strike target – but his current employers reportedly want £150MILLION.
Haaland's recent form is similar to Werner's Bundesliga exploits, scoring 40 goals in 43 league outings for Dortmund.

If the Blues fail to sign the Norway international, it's believed they will make a £50m bid for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.
The 32-year-old is another Bundesliga favourite having scored a remarkable 277 goals in Germany's top flight.
And rumours claim Chelsea may make a move for Tottenham striker Harry Kane, offering Tammy Abraham as part of a swap deal.
The England captain reportedly wants to leave the North London side and is proven at Premier League level having scored 166 goals.
Abraham looks set to leave Stamford Bridge this summer after falling out of favour with manager Thomas Tuchel.
The Chelsea boss has already let one striker go, with France international Olivier Giroud completing a reported £2m switch to AC Milan.
