Chelsea 'AGREE £89m Mudryk transfer in stunning hijacking with Shakhtar star open to move despite flirting with Arsenal' | The Sun

CHELSEA have hijacked Arsenal's bid for Mykhailo Mudryk as they reached an agreement with Shakhtar Donetsk.

The Gunners had been leading the race for Mudryk, who is their top transfer target to boost their Premier League title hunt.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, however, the Blues have stolen a march on their London rivals by flying to Poland to hold showdown talks with Shakhtar.

And the West Londoners have reached a deal with the Ukrainian giants worth €100million (£89m).

Chelsea also seem to have agreed with the player who will fly to London to undergo a medical before putting pen to paper on a seven-year deal, as per The Athletic's David Ornstein.

Romano tweeted: "Chelsea have reached an agreement with Shakhtar Donetsk for Mudryk. €100m fee agreed between parties today after mission.
