Barcelona confident Araujo and Gavi will sign new deals in transfer blow to Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool

BARCELONA are reportedly expecting Ronald Araujo and Gavi to sign new deals in a major blow to Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool.
Both players' contracts expire at the end of next season and the three Premier League clubs are eyeing them up as possible signings this summer.
Man Utd and Chelsea have been linked with a move for 22-year-old Uruguayan centre-back Araujo.
And Liverpool were thought to be interested in bringing Spanish midfield maestro Gavi, 17, to Anfield.
The thinking behind both approaches was that Barca may look to cash in on them before they enter the final 12 months of their contracts and potentially leave on a free.
But now reports from Sport state that the Spanish giants are not concerned about the players' futures as they are confident of agreeing new deals.
Barca's negotiations with the pair are thought to have been sped up by the interest from England.
Gavi's new deal is closer to being completed, but the club believe both will get done.

Gavi has already played 27 times for Barcelona so far this season – scoring two goals and providing a further three assists.
Araujo has also racked up 25 appearances this season, scoring three times despite being a centre-half.
Along with negotiating new contracts, Barca have also been busy in the transfer market over the past month.
They have brought in the trio of Ferran Torres, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Adama Traore.
Those three join club legend Dani Alves in bolstering Xavi's options for the second half of the season.

Barca currently sit fourth in the LaLiga table following an impressive 4-2 victory over Atletico Madrid at the weekend.
They are keen to secure Champions League football for the 2022-23 campaign as they look to bounce back from their crippling financial crisis.
Back in December, Barca were eliminated in the group stages of the Champions League for the first time in 20 years.
