Arsenal 0 Chelsea 2: Lukaku bullies Gunners and scores on debut as Arteta's flops are booed off after dismal display

ROMELU LUKAKU finally scored a goal for Chelsea to mark a dream return to his beloved Blues.

The £97.5million striker scored a tap in on 15 minutes but produced a superb performance on his second debut.

Defender Reece James added the second to condemn Arsenal to a miserable defeat which led to them being booed off after their first home game of the season.

Lukaku is back at Chelsea as their record signing after a disappointing single season in 2011 in which he barely figured.

Nine years and 360 days after his first debut, the ruthless Belgian seems to be making up for lost time with an impressive all round display.

Lukaku, 28, started the move which led to his first half goal on a day when he gave the Arsenal defence a torrid time.

With his back to goal he passed backwards to Mateo Kovacic for the Croatian to slide a ball wide to James.

Lukaku was waiting six yards out to slide home the full back’s diagonal pass into the box with ease.

Right wing-back James then rounded off a move with play switching across the pitch to seal the win with a low shot past keeper Bernd Leno.

Lukaku emerged the winner from his personal duel with Arsenal centre half Pablo Mari and went close with a header later in the first half and was a threat all 90 minutes.

Only a stunning one-handed save from Leno stopped Lukaku adding a second late in the second half, pushing the ball onto the underside of the bar before it rebounded to safety.

Arsenal offered little up front and a diving save from Edouard Mendy in the second half to push away a shot by Granit Xhaka was their best effort, with a header from defender Rob Holding also drifting narrowly wide.
