Will Meghan Markle's Mother Move to England When Baby Sussex Arrives?

As everyone is well aware, Meghan Markle is close to her mother, Doria Ragland. Doria currently lives in Los Angeles, making it difficult for her to see Meghan as often as she would probably like to. In addition, the significant time difference, as well as Meghan’s busy schedule most likely makes it a challenge for them to find time to talk to each other.

As would be expected, Doria is eagerly awaiting the birth of her first grandchild. Babies grow up so quickly, and chances are, Doria doesn’t want to miss a thing! Does this mean it is possible that she will be relocating to England upon the baby’s birth?

Meghan and Harry have more than enough room at their new home

Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, are in the process of making renovations to their new home, Frogmore Cottage, located a bit outside of London in Windsor, England. Prince Harry has made no secret of the fact that he simply adores Doria, so he would likely have no objection to having her move in! That would be just wonderful for Meghan, who would have her mother, who is also her close friend, right in the same home so that they could spend quality time together.

Meghan currently does not have any family members in England

Although Harry has his entire family nearby to see whenever he would like, Meghan currently does not have any family in England at all. In addition, the only family member that she actually has a relationship with is her mother, so it is not surprising that she wants her nearby. Doria would be able to help Meghan with her first child and get to know Harry even better!

It would be difficult for Meghan to travel to California with a new baby

California is quite a long way from England, and it might be difficult for Meghan to make the trip as often as she would probably like to! Chances are, Meghan and Harry want Doria to be actively involved in their new son or daughter’s life. If Doria were to stay in Los Angeles, it would be difficult for her to see the baby regularly, which could prove to be quite disappointing for everyone.

As evidenced by their interactions at the royal wedding, Doria and the members of the royal family get along just glowingly. Queen Elizabeth even extended an invitation for Doria to spend Christmas with the family at her Sandringham Estate, which is practically unheard of! Meghan’s mother would be warmly welcomed by everyone, such as Prince William and Kate Middleton, Prince Charles and Camilla, and the rest of the family, should she choose to relocate to England.

Meghan’s mother could also choose to live in London

If Doria does decide to make the move across the pond, it is possible that she could choose to live in the city of London rather than the quieter, smaller town of Windsor. This would still allow her to spend a great deal of time with Meghan, Harry, and the baby, and she could enjoy getting to know a completely different city and culture. How fun would it be for Meghan and her mom to be able to enjoy all of their favorite London spots together?

Meghan and Harry would surely be delighted to have Doria living in the United Kingdom, whether it be with them in their new home, or in a home of her own. She will certainly be a wonderful and loving grandmother to the new royal baby, and the perfect companion for Meghan to have with her in England.
