It comes as no surprise that people can be cruel.
But thankfully, four women haven't let their bullies get them down for long.

From a woman who was bullied in high school to an adult entertainer who was told she was "too fat", these women have gone on to have the last laugh.
While many people doubted them, they have proven naysayers wrong by having jaw-dropping glow ups.
Elaina St James
Adult content creator Elaina St James has revealed that she’s hotter now at 56 than when she was 18.
The American OnlyFans star is making a fortune from uploading adult photos and videos for her subscribers – but she says she probably wouldn't be as successful if she looked like she did when she was a teenage aspiring model.
She told Holly Randall's Unfiltered podcast that many modelling agencies told her she was too fat when she was younger.
“I never could become a model because I was at 18 and 30 pounds (two stone) less than I am now,” she said.
“I was too old, too fat for them. Because obviously, I'm tall, I'm 5ft 10, but that's what I was told by modelling agencies back in the mid-80s: ‘too old too fat’."
Elaina has proven the doubters wrong though.
She added: “The joke’s on them. I make more money now with this older heavier body than I ever would have dreamed of back in 1985.”
Jeanette Painting
Jeanette Painting is another woman who feels more attractive now that she’s older.
The 44-year-old from Gloucester, UK, celebrated a 7.5 stone weight loss transformation by following the 1:1 Diet by Cambridge Weight Plan.
Now the super-slimmer feels better in her 40s than she did in her 20s.
Jeanette felt "stuck in a rut" after giving birth to her two kids so "gave up on herself", wearing tracksuits in a bid to conceal her 19st 13lbs frame.
But her life changed forever when she started the diet, which saw her drop from a size 24 to a size 12 – and now loves wearing figure-hugging dresses.
She said: "I had back issues from gaining weight. Along with my anxiety and depression, the weight made me feel worse. I hated looking in the mirror.
"My back was playing up so much, I never wanted to go out. I didn't want to be doing anything with the children – I was physically exhausted.
"When I did the Cambridge Weight Plan, I lost weight every week until I achieved the weight I wanted to be."
Adriana Krzesniak
Adriana Krzesniak is almost 40 but she claims she looks younger now than she did in her 20s.
The 39-year-old says the reason she looked "so much older" in her younger years as she was "cooped up and miserable".
She felt she was given a "second life" when she left her husband at 32 and moved to Stuttgart, Germany, to pursue fashion.
Reading self-help books and minimising stress are some of the things that Adriana tried to incorporate into her life.
Struggling with fertility issues in her 20s, Adriana is now trying for a baby with her new husband Kamel Krzesniak.
Adriana says she owes her perfect complexion to a healthy mindset, a simple skincare routine and a nutritious diet, which includes turmeric in most meals.
She said: "In my 20s I always had this impression I had something to prove and there was so many expectations. Now I am more at peace with myself and I have stopped stressing."
Kat
A woman simply known as Kat took to TikTok to say she was mocked for her looks while she was at school.
It seems she’s had the last laugh though as she now believes she’s hotter than her bullies after she had a “glow-up”.
The 28-year-old uploaded a video where she showed an old photo of herself wearing a T-shirt and hoodie along with a pair of flared jeans.
In another picture, she wore glasses on while donning an early 2000s hairstyle with a thin scarf around her neck.
She said during this time, she was picked on by her cruel classmates.
"Imagine bullying me in high school just for me to become hotter than you," Kat said.
She added: "Maybe I would be nicer and more humble about it had I been treated better."
