Vandals covered an entire village in graffiti and even targeted an ambulance.

Police have issued an appeal for information after the emergency vehicle had to be taken out of service to be cleaned.

The widespread vandalism occurred in St Dennis, Cornwall last weekend [July 29 and 30].

St Austell Police shared pictures of the vandalism on their Facebook page and asked for people to contact them.

The images show graffiti on cars, bus stops and the letters 'ED' written on the ambulance's windows.

St Austell Police wrote: "Last weekend we received reports of criminal damage to vehicles and property around St Dennis.

"Now that we have the photos we would like to bring this to public attention.

"Words and tags had been written/sprayed over vehicles windows and bodywork, homes and garages amongst many other locations.
