Traumatised young woman left half-bald after getting ‘world’s worst haircut’

A young woman says she has been given the "world’s worst haircut " after a hairdressers left her half-bald.

Lucy Burrows showed stylists a photograph of an elaborate undercut she had seen online.

But the 22-year-old was left traumatised after a hapless hairdresser hacked into her long locks at Barber n’ Bar in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

The sales account manager realised the employee had shaven wonky and uneven lines into her hair.

And she alleges Barber n’ Bar first refused to acknowledge its mishap but eventually agreed to refund the £20 cut – and chucked in an extra tenner for her upset.

But Lucy, of Swindon, Wiltshire, has been left devastated.

She said: "If you’re looking for a butcher, Barber n’ Bar is the right place.

"They absolutely destroyed my hair and confidence and I couldn’t even go to work because of this."

Her experience happened back in August but Lucy’s hair has only started to recover, she claims.

She added: "I still can’t wear my hair up at all and it looks really bad and messy.

"You can’t tell as much anymore but it still feels very thin to me."

"I am still half bald which obviously isn’t great."

Barber n’ Bar has been contacted for comment.

Prices for haircuts there range between £8 on selected days for over 65s and £17 for a cut and wash.

Lucy ranted on Facebook this week about her ordeal.

Horrified friends shared their shock.

One wrote: "I would be screaming if someone butchered mine like that."

It comes after a woman, called Katie, appeared live on Lorraine today to get a Harper Beckham haircut .

But Katie looked in a mirror and appeared shocked at the results.

"Oh," she uttered. "Oh I’m shocked."

Struggling to hide her surprise, she added: "It’s a real shock."
