Prince William and Kate Middleton Had a Secret Date Night
There have been a ton of changes in the British royal family. As Kate, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William have been carving out a path for the prince when he becomes king, they have also been shouldering a lot more responsibility in the wake of Megxit.
When Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex announced their intent to step back as senior working members of the British royal family, it took everyone by surprise — including the Cambridges. Though Prince Harry and Prince William are no longer as close as they once were, no one saw Megxit coming.
Still, despite their increasingly hectic schedule, the Cambridges were able to take some time out for themselves for a secret date night as the Sussexes returned to the U.K. to carry out their final royal duties.
Prince William and Kate Middleton have been overwhelmed since Megxit
Though everyone is relieved that Megixt will be finalized as of April 1 — a great deal of strain hs been placed on Prince William and Kate’s shoulders.
“I think the severity of what’s happened has had a huge impact on his brother, on his sister-in-law,” royal expert Katie Nicholl explained. “Both of them are still reeling from the news, coming to terms with the reality of this situation.”
Kate, in particular, has been struggling under the pressure. “Kate’s in a panic and has been having bouts of anxiety,” an insider told US Weekly. “She barely has time to rest, and when she does try to sleep, her mind is constantly racing.”
Megxit has brought Prince William and Kate Middleton closer together
Despite the chaos of Megxit, the Cambridges have seen the bond that has united Prince Harry and Meghan. They’ve used that as the blueprint for their own relationship. The pair have even been dabbling in a bit of PDA which is extremely rare for them.
The Cambridges are busier than ever since Harry and Meghan left the U.K.,” a source told US Weekly. “You’d think their hectic schedule would put strain on the marriage, but it’s actually brought them closer together. Working as a team and supporting each other is essential at a time like this, and that’s exactly what they’re doing.”
Prince William and Kate Middleton’s secret date to Cirque du Soleil
While the Sussexes are finishing up their royal duties in the U.K. the Cambridges are currently on a royal tour in Ireland. During their visit with the performers and gymnasts in Tribeton in Galway, Prince William revealed that he and Kate recently had a secret date night.
“We went to watch the Cirque du Soleil recently, it was amazing,” explained. Though the duke gave no further details, Hello! Magazine is speculating that the royal couple saw the Cirque du Soleil: Luzia, a Mexican-inspired show which ran from January 12 through March 1 at the iconic London venue.
Mostly, royal fans are floored that two of the most famous faces in the U.K. were able to sneak into the public show without anyone noticing. However, we’re glad that despite everything, they’ve continued to make their relationship a priority.
