Premier League Fantasy Football: When does the 2019/20 game start, how to sign up, what features will there be and who are the best players?

Well that’s another fantasy football season done and dusted.

The culmination to the Premier League on Sunday means thousands of you across the country are celebrating precious bragging rights after wrapping up your Dream Team mini-leagues.

But for those of you who simply can’t wait, there’s absolutely no harm in looking ahead to next season, is there?

When can I sign up to play fantasy football?

Well the new Premier League season starts on 10th August, but you’ll be able to sign up for Dream Team way before that.

We anticipate that registration will open in the second week of July, but you’ll be able to pre-register for the game way before that too.

It’s completely free to play as ever and there’ll be a hefty jackpot up for grabs if you finish inside the top 10 at the end of the season.

Stay tuned for further details about how to sign up.

What fantasy football games are there to play?

Dream Team covers everything… and we mean EVERYTHING.

Our Season game not only covers the Premier League but also the FA Cup, League Cup, Champions League and Europa League. So you need to have your wits about you at all times.

As well as the traditional Season game, Weekender runs alongside which focuses solely on individual weekends. It’s brilliant for more short term fantasy football fun.

And we’re launching a brand spanking new game in 2019/20 that will really set pulses racing…

How does fantasy football work?

The traditional Season game gives you a £50m budget, three transfers a month but a maximum of three players from any one club.

You can pick between three different formations; 4-4-2, 4-3-3 and the hugely popular 3-4-3.

Players get points for scoring, assisting, getting a 7+ match rating and winning Star Man.

Goalkeepers and defenders can earn extra points for keeping clean sheets and, in the former’s case, saving penalties.

Players lose points for yellow cards, red cards, missed penalties and conceding LOTS of goals.

Who are the best players to pick on fantasy football?

Well this season it was all about one man – Eden Hazard.

Hazard finished on 340 points, a full 50 ahead of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in second, in what is very likely to be his last season on Dream Team before his hotly-anticipated move to Real Madrid.

Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero are always prolific whilst Virgil van Dijk and Aymeric Laporte are must-haves at the back.

The likes of Matt Doherty and Lucas Digne have also had brilliant seasons from the rest of the pack.
