AFTER you break up with someone it can be easier to see that person in a whole new light.

This is the case for a number of people who have revealed the exact moment they discovered how awful their ex truly was.

Reasons posted to anonymous confession site Whisper include a woman who found her previous boyfriend had been arrested for domestic violence.

Another person said their partner's actions since their break up had definitely confirmed they were better off apart.

They confessed: "My ex got matching name tattoos of her fiance of three months.

"She also lost her son because she was caught doing crystal meth in a graveyard. Dodged a bullet."

Other reasons include someone who found out their old partner voted for Donald Trump in the US election and felt this was an indicator they couldn't be together.

One shocked confessor said: "My boyfriend thinks I 'got cancer' to get his attention."

And another Whisper user said their ex went crazy after they broke up.

One of the submitters claimed their ex got arrested for drugging girls at parties, also saying they had dodged a bullet by not being with them anymore.

Meanwhile one submitter said their ex "doesn't believe in vaccinations" and due to them not wanting to give them to a future hypothetical child, is not compatible as a partner.

Another baby-related confession read: "I think my ex wanted me to slip up and get her pregnant."

Another confession said: "My ex has two kids by two different girls and his new gf doesn't know."
