My ex won't let me see my kids this Christmas even though I've been clean for months

DEAR DEIDRE: THIS is the first Christmas I won’t see my children open their presents.

I had cocaine and alcohol issues which got really bad in the first lockdown.

My ex said she couldn’t take it any more and didn’t want her kids to grow up around me.

That made me wake up and I have been clean for three months.

But my ex says there is no chance we’ll get back together, as she doesn’t love me any more.

It will break my heart not to be with my boys.

My mum is hoping we can see them at hers on Boxing Day but it’s not the same.

Do you think my ex will relent?
