Meghan’s £360,000 maternity wardrobe made up of 70 different outfits

More than 70 different outfits and a £360,000 bill: How Meghan’s modern maternity wear showed off her unerring sense of style

Since announcing her pregnancy, the Duchess of Sussex has been photographed in at least 75 outfits.

But not for her the stretchy dresses or comfy leggings most of us would favour when expecting. Instead, Meghan has brilliantly navigated a pregnancy in the spotlight without forfeiting her impeccable fashion credentials.

Avoiding most of the usual maternity brands, she’s stuck to bespoke, custom-made outfits by her favourite designers — some of the biggest fashion names in the world, including Dior, Givenchy and Valentino.

Coming in at £361,070, her maternity wardrobe is rumoured to have cost almost seven times more than the Duchess of Cambridge’s.

Her choices have been eclectic as well as expensive. With an extraordinary mix of styles, shapes, lengths, details and accessories, nothing has been predictable. The one consistent factor has been Meghan’s signature colour palette — navy, cream, white and black, with the occasional splash of a block colour such as the red Sentaler coat, matching heels and purple Aritzia dress for a royal visit to Birkenhead.

Here, Dinah Van Tulleken casts an eye over Meghan’s maternity wardrobe and puts a value on each outfit, including shoes, accessories and jewellery…

Baby Sussex has arrived! But while we wait for the first pics, let’s rewind back to one of Meghan’s very stylish pregnancy appearances.

Showing off her blossoming baby bump, the Duchess of Sussex wore a chain print dress by Victoria Beckham when she attended the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey earlier this year.

This look, which is all by VB, has to be one of our favorites from Meghan. The cream chain print midi is a custom made take on a dress from the forthcoming Autumn/Winter '19 line and we love the elegant shade and floaty fit.

It's all next season so isn't available to buy yet, but click (right) to add some of the label's current pieces to your wardrobe.
