Meghan Markle’s sister tells her ‘remember dad’ as ‘even The Grinch has a heart’
Meghan Markle’s sister has told the Duchess to ‘remember their father’ in a brutal Christmas message in which she says: "Even The Grinch grew a heart."
Samantha Markle, through a newspaper interview, told Meghan to think of Thomas Markle Snr, "who was the Santa in your entire life".
The 53-year-old told her royal sibling that this time of year is for reflection – in yet another outburst.
On Saturday, the Mirror reported on a handwritten Christmas card Samantha wrote to Meghan begging her: "End the rift with Dad."
Now, through an interview with the Daily Star, Samantha told her sister: "It’s the time of year to reflect on how precious life is.
"It is a time to remember family, especially dad who was Santa your entire life.
"Even The Grinch grew a heart."
She also reportedly told the Duchess to ‘sweeten her disposition’.
Samantha claims she plans to release a book called ‘In the shadows of the Duchess’ at a similar time to when Meghan’s baby is due.
The Mirror published an exclusive interview on Saturday about Samantha’s note to the Duchess in a bid to finally reunite her with their dad – before it’s too late.
She fears Thomas, who is 74 and has heart troubles, might not live until next Christmas.
In the card, decorated with birds and holly, she told the ex-Suits actress: "Holidays are a time for family and are sentimental.
"Dad has been trying to contact you and is very hurt because you are avoiding him.
"Life is short and you know Dad is wonderful. Please give him joy in his last years by showing you love him. The time is now."
She added: "Dad could die before next Christmas.
"I’m hoping that won’t be the case, but it would be tragic and sad if he doesn’t get to be around to resolve this.
"I think Meg would harbour a lot of regret if this were his last Christmas alive and she didn’t reach out and make things right.
"There is not another day or week guaranteed, so Meg needs to act quickly. The clock is ticking."
