And now the leading expert on Marie Kondo’s in Australia, Gemma Quinn, has revealed how can embrace the KonMari method in your holiday packing. 

The Certified Platinum KonMari Consultant told 10 Daily that there are specific rules for packing suitcases and that you should follow them.

How to pack like Marie Kondo 

  • Fold and roll clothes as small as possible.
  • Place clothes side-by-side horizontally.
  • Put similar items into pouches.
  • Pack shoes
  • Tuck underwear into the space created by bra cups.

She said you must choose the items that bring joy, fold your clothes using the KonMari method and store clothes in your suitcase vertically so you can see them all at once.   

Ms Quinn also revealed how she packs for a few days away.

‘In my travel kit, I have a couple of bags which hold items which I only take on overseas trips, so when I go away for the weekend, it is easy to exclude these bags,’ she told the publication.

‘The only other thing which makes me change my travel kit is duration, if I’m going for longer than two weeks, I take a few more supplies and use them to refill my kit along the way.’ 

She said that the things she takes on foreign trips include her passport and international adaptors.
